The Senior Principal Systems Architect will engage in the development and documentation of system, network, and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Principal Systems Architect at SCOUT Solutions, your role will include:
  • Designing, testing, and deploying hardware, software, applications, and capabilities within demonstration and testing environments for evaluation and assessment.
  • Utilizing government-provided software and tools to deliver these services, while also exploring cost-effective and innovative alternatives in accordance with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
  • Organizing and leading regular Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with government and industry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to share best practices, gather insights, and continuously enhance the ICON Reference Architecture (RA).
  • Documenting discussions, action items, and other relevant details from the TEMs as meeting minutes or After-Action Reports (AAR) within 10 business days following each meeting.
  • Updating lessons learned, errata, and release notes based on assessments and evaluations of new and updated component testing as part of the Monthly Status Review and Briefing.
  • Providing Asset Management and Configuration Management (CM) services to ensure technical and administrative oversight of technology assets and maintain visibility into asset types and quantities across the Enterprise IT environment.
  • Identifying and defining IT Configuration Items (CIs) and managing changes throughout their lifecycle, including reporting on the status of CIs.
  • Facilitating Periodic Change Boards (PCBs) or other CM-related meetings as mandated by the government.
  • Overseeing the status accounting process, managing Status Review and Change Boards (SRCBs), documenting review board outcomes, and following up on action items from CM-related meetings.
  • Executing configuration management tasks, including the creation of processes and procedures to document the baseline configuration of ICON systems and record changes according to the change control process.
  • Ensuring baseline configurations encompass details about system components, network topology, and logical placements within the System Architecture.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must meet DoD 8140 & 8570 Certifications as required.
  • Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility required.
