Job Summary

The Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington (AGSIW) is seeking a highly organized and motivated HR & Office Administrator to join its team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing organization with a strong focus on research and analysis of the Gulf Arab states.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative and HR-related duties, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. They will also be responsible for managing office operations, including facilities management, IT management, and vendor management.

We are looking for a self-starter who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Manage office operations, including facilities management and IT management
  • Administer HR policies and procedures
  • Assist with benefits administration and employment-law compliance
  • Provide administrative support to the executive leadership
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • At least 5 years of combined office management and human resource experience
  • Solid understanding of federal and state employment regulations
  • Working knowledge of office administrative and HR procedures and business systems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and solid proficiency in other MS Office applications
