Job Overview

Position Summary

As a Front End Operations Leader, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Front End, Cash Office, and Service Desk functions. Your role will involve overseeing the ordering of materials and supplies, while also implementing strategies to drive business growth, fulfill customer needs, and enhance profitability. You will be accountable for the operational performance of these departments at all times. It is essential to embody professionalism and represent the organization positively. You will also focus on fostering an environment of mutual respect, inclusion, and dignity among team members. Regular coaching and feedback will be provided to team members to identify development opportunities and ensure their success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
    1. Interviewing, selecting, and training team members;
    2. Directing the daily activities of team members;
    3. Evaluating team member productivity and efficiency for promotion recommendations;
    4. Addressing team member concerns and complaints;
    5. Implementing disciplinary actions when necessary;
    6. Planning and organizing work schedules;
    7. Assigning tasks to team members;
    8. Ensuring the safety and security of team members and the store;
    9. Managing departmental budgets;
    10. Overseeing inventory management for the department;
    11. Monitoring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the complete operation of the Front End, ensuring high service levels at registers, self-checkouts, and the service desk. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the parking lot, lobby, and front end areas.
  • Direct customer flow to meet service expectations effectively.
  • Manage inventory levels of front end products, including snacks, general merchandise, and supplies to meet customer demands and optimize profits.
  • Conduct audits of cash handling procedures to identify and mitigate potential losses.
  • Maintain accurate records for departmental activities to ensure proper documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding products and services.
