Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant who is a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our expanding team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Controller to enhance our accounting, tax, budgeting, and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will exhibit meticulous attention to detail and possess strong accounting and record-keeping abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accounting functions for various entities and portfolios, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective cash flow management during project phases.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Conduct reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Manage journal entries and schedules for multiple entities.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including consolidation across entities.
  • Maintain and update accounting software systems.
  • Research and interpret technical accounting standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the creation of internal processes and metrics to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Engage in cross-functional opportunities within the organization.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with Big 4 firms and/or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Sage or comparable accounting software.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Energetic, quick learner with the ability to manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong focus on deadlines and self-motivation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector is advantageous.
