POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior IT Manager for Finance Business Systems at STAAR Surgical is a pivotal role within the Information Technology division. This individual collaborates closely with various business units and the IT organization to define, implement, and maintain effective IT solutions for Finance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts comprehensive analysis of business systems and applications to support the development and execution of IT solutions.
  • Involves assessment, analysis, and documentation of requirements, translating them into detailed system specifications and configurations.
  • Defines the scope and objectives of systems based on user needs and a solid understanding of business processes and industry standards.
  • Acts as a bridge between technical teams and end-user departments.
  • Translates user requirements and challenges to technical teams and/or vendors as necessary.
  • Understands the business ramifications of technical solutions and aids in documenting technology strategies to meet future business demands.
  • Educates end users on new technologies and enhancements using various communication methods while providing ongoing support for existing systems.
  • Monitors application performance and ensures timely restoration of services for users.
  • Analyzes application issues and coordinates effective solutions.
  • Participates in software upgrades, including planning, scheduling, coordination, and deployment.
  • Ensures system availability and performance through proactive and reactive maintenance.
  • Leads the selection process for new systems, including requirement gathering, RFP development, and vendor selection.
  • Manages relationships with service providers and vendors supporting business systems.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE
  • 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud ERP in Finance modules and Oracle EPM.
  • 2+ years of IT management experience overseeing systems that support ERP, budgeting, finance reporting, business intelligence, HR, and expense management.
  • Collaborates with Finance to ensure compliance with SOX regulations regarding computer systems.
  • Oversees ITGC aspects of SOX compliance, coordinating with internal and external auditors for reviews.

SKILLS
  • Expertise in business systems processes within the medical device manufacturing sector, including Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Plan-to-Manufacture.
  • Deep understanding of Oracle's Cloud ERP configuration for Finance modules.
  • Adept at recognizing the impact of emerging business trends on STAAR Surgical and its clientele.
  • Strong mentoring capabilities for developing junior staff.
  • Proficient in applying commonly used SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
  • Experience leading large-scale or complex business systems upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ability to define cost and time estimates for implementation and development projects.
  • Provides Level 1 support for applications within the portfolio.

Compensation range is $160K - $205K, with final salary determined by experience.
