This position presents a unique opportunity for a candidate with a multifaceted skill set to engage across various disciplines. To significantly contribute to ATS's achievements, the ideal candidate must adeptly set and modify priorities, allocate project resources effectively, and strategically develop actionable plans. We are in search of a motivated, intelligent, and dynamic individual with a strong sense of integrity to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and architect intricate testing systems for cutting-edge semiconductor devices.
  • Articulate complex challenges and distill requirements for engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on the development and validation of all related sub-assemblies.
  • Determine project responsibilities by identifying phases and elements of the project.
  • Create and disseminate project descriptions, timelines, cost estimates, and performance benchmarks.
  • Identify risks and formulate mitigation strategies, communicating these internally and externally.
  • Oversee and coordinate all technical aspects of projects, employing the company's Product Development Process through various communication channels.
  • Act as a technical advisor for corrective actions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for strategic enhancements.
  • Work alongside thermal, mechanical, software, and electrical engineers to develop validation, production, and reliability tests to ensure optimal product performance.
  • Establish production release protocols and plans for testing systems with clearly defined success criteria, collaborating with production teams for product launch.
  • Analyze testing and reliability data for prompt issue resolution and drive corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in preparing technical proposals and support new business development initiatives in conjunction with the business and cross-functional teams.
  • Review client requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to formulate project plans and objectives.
  • Explore emerging technologies to conceptualize future product designs that align with anticipated customer needs.
  • Develop innovative design and analysis processes and tools to enhance the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development efforts, focusing on cost minimization.
  • Lead the creation or modification of system component designs and proposals, ensuring comprehensive installation and detailed documentation.
  • Mentor and coach team members.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
  • Develop detailed statements of work, metrics, schedules, and budgets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred). Hands-on experience in developing and productizing thermal/mechanical systems is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills.
  • Preferred 10+ years of experience in the design, testing, and validation of semiconductor devices/modules and/or equipment used for testing.
  • Experience leading semiconductor products through New Product Introduction (NPI) and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM), including device thermal characterization and burn-in processes.
  • Prior experience in developing semiconductor production testers or system-level testers is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation devices and expertise in integrating such equipment into larger testing systems.
  • Experience with robotic and mechanical systems used for automated testing of semiconductor devices/modules is a plus.
  • Proficient in data analysis software for yield reporting and problem-solving, with tools such as Extensio, JMP, or equivalent.
  • Experienced in various statistical analysis methods.
  • Experience working directly with clients and vendors.
  • Ability to comprehend complex electro-mechanical assemblies and high-speed board design/signal integrity analysis.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • This position is an on-site role.
