Position Overview:

The role of the Executive Assistant is essential in providing comprehensive administrative support to the executive team at Honda North America. This position involves a variety of intricate and demanding tasks that require a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and prioritize daily activities for Honda Development Manufacturing America (HDMA) executives, ensuring confidentiality in all communications.
  • Oversee the daily and long-term scheduling for multiple leaders, identifying potential conflicts and proposing solutions.
  • Collaborate with various HDMA Business Centers and Business Units, as well as Honda Motor Japan, to facilitate business operations.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for executives, adapting plans as necessary.
  • Highlight critical action items and deadlines, ensuring timely follow-ups and necessary actions are initiated.
  • Assist in organizing major meetings, including setup and communication with business partners regarding executive visitor engagements.
  • Handle administrative duties related to budgets, asset management, and record retention.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of Honda's key activities, corporate policies, and development processes.

Candidate Profile:

Required Experience:
At least 6 years of experience in an executive assistant role, supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Background:
An Associate or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Desired Skills:
  • Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
  • Strong team player with excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to establish high-level contacts of a sensitive nature within and outside the organization.

Work Environment:
The position is situated in an open office environment characterized by moderate noise and activity. Occasional overtime may be required based on project targets and deadlines.
