Water Treatment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team at Kleinfelder. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our water supply and wastewater plants.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain pumps, motors, and blowers to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Complete and follow up on work orders and process control monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours to optimize plant efficiency.
- Service and maintain equipment and overall plant to prevent downtime and ensure safety.
- Clean sand filters and media filters to maintain water quality.
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
- Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custody to ensure accurate results.
- Log plant operation details, on computer and in writing, and prepare reports to track plant performance.
- Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments based on results to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Good and effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Good analytical and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Possess a minimum OEPA Class A certification in both water and wastewater (or ability to obtain within 6 months) with some mechanical or electrical experience preferred.
- Committed to following established policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
- 75% field work and 25% office time to balance operational and administrative responsibilities.
