Salary Range: $38,000-$43,000

Overview: The Assistant Athletic Trainer plays a crucial role in supporting the athletic programs at Columbia College. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing medical coverage for varsity sports teams.
  • Implementing injury prevention strategies, conducting evaluations, and facilitating treatment and rehabilitation processes.
  • Accompanying team physicians during medical appointments.
  • Overseeing the activities of student workers and assistants.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and liaising with athletic departments.
  • Ensuring adherence to NAIA regulations.
  • Engaging in additional summer projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree is preferred.
  • NATABOC certification is required.
  • Eligibility for a Missouri license.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an athletic department is preferred.

This role at Columbia College involves collaboration with a team of certified athletic trainers dedicated to the care of student-athletes and the management of various sports events. It provides valuable experience in sports medicine, documentation, communication, and interpersonal relations.
