We are seeking an experienced Instructional Developer to join our team and develop high-quality training materials and curricula for Chaplain, Chaplain Candidate, and Religious Affairs Specialist training.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpret instructional development guidance from TRADOC and USA-IRL policies to integrate into producing educational and training courses and products.
- Analyze, design, develop, and validate USA-IRL education and training products.
- Prepare, review, revise, and develop training and educational material for both resident instruction and distance learning (Lesson Plans, PowerPoint Presentations, Student Handouts, etc.).
- Prepare TRAS documentation with input from Requirements Analysts and ATRRS Specialists.
- Assist in transitioning learning material to Army Learning Model (ALM).
- Update references, course content, material and equipment, evaluations, and student material required using the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) process.
- Assist in implementing Distributed Learning and resident programs using Blackboard and other automated systems.
- Maintain and manage learning material distributed by automated systems such as Blackboard, ATRRS SharePoint, and the Army Training Network.
- Develop checklists and quick guides for use as instructional aids.
- Review regulations, policies, and procedures of training development.
- Minimum two (2) years experience developing and designing full-length skill-based instructional training material and experience writing lesson plans using the Adult Learning Model/Experiential Learning Model.
- Must have either post-graduate academic credentials or professional certification, or both, in the areas of spiritual care, religious support or chaplaincy.
- Be competent in relevant fields of specialization such as marriage and family, counseling, world religions and multi-faith religious support, CPE, ethics, pluralistic ministry, and practical theology.
- Qualified to support or provide Association of Theological Schools (ATS)- accreditable educational materials.
- Minimum of two (2) year experience working in automated training scheduling databases such as: ATRRS.
- Minimum two (2) years experience providing teaching/facilitating course material.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working in automated training development databases such as: Training Development Capabilities (TDC).
- Possess knowledge and skills of the Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) process.
- Experience with course validation process IAW TRADOC regulations.
- Experience with Blackboard and SharePoint
- Graduate of the Common Faculty Development-Developers Course (CFD-DC) and Training Development Capability (TDC) Course or attend the first available class.
- Graduate of the Common Faculty Program-Instructor Course (CFDP-IC) or attend the first available class
- U.S. Citizenship
- Able to pass background checks
