Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our Orthopedic Care team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Assist with the management of patient/athlete visits within the clinic, performing a range of clinical responsibilities in support of the physicians.
    • Interact regularly with patients and others involved in the patient/athlete's care to incorporate an interdisciplinary treatment approach for coordinated quality care.
    • Obtain initial patient history, vital signs, and/or follow-up status and present to physician in preparation for their exam of patient/athlete.
  • Community Outreach
    • Participate in community outreach and conduct presentations on a variety of Athletic Training topics.
  • Supervision and Education
    • Supervise Student Athletic Trainers and/or Intern Athletic Trainers and mentor new staff members.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Responsible for taking office notes when directed by physicians.
    • Responsible for organization and disbursement of incoming medical records, reports, etc. as they arrive at the clinic.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Masters Degree - Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training or Physical Education w/ Athletic Training emphasis.
  • Certifications/Registrations/Licenses
    • ATHLETIC TRAINER SC LICENSE.
    • ATHLETIC TRAINER - NATABOC (National Athletic Trainer's Association).
    • CPR Certification.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
