Job Summary:

The Production Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the company meets all deadlines and production schedules are met. This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills to manage the production process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term production schedules based on customer orders and desired inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, warehousing, and shipping teams to ensure production schedules meet critical deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency.
  • Consolidate multiple reports into a by-order shipment projection.
  • Analyze data from multiple systems and sources to make informed decisions.
  • Organize and provide daily production forms and release labels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of production scheduling experience in a related industry.
  • Ability to multitask and provide quick responses to production problems.
  • Proficiency in generating reports and schedules using software.
  • Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions.
  • A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing or production industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Do you have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent?
  • Do you have at least 5 years of production planner experience within a manufacturing environment?
  • Do you have excellent computer skills, including expertise in MS Excel and good math skills?
  • Are you able to extract and compile data from multiple systems/sources, analyze data, and make recommendations for action?
  • Are you currently pulling data from Sage, Microsoft Power BI, and other older databases?
  • This company will be changing systems in the near future, so the ideal candidate will have top computer skills and be able to learn new systems quickly.
  • The biggest challenge of the job is working with different systems to extract data.
  • Do you have manufacturing or production industry experience?
  • Do you have knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma?
  • Must you be a US Citizen or Green Card holder?
