This position is responsible for managing patient accounts, billing, and insurance coordination within Intermountain Healthcare's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Accurately register patients, confirm demographic data, and update registration systems.
  • Insurance Coordination: Verify insurance information, determine coordination of benefits, and obtain authorizations and referrals as required.
  • Payment Collection: Collect patient payments, provide accurate receipts, and post payments in the system.
  • Record Maintenance: Prepare medical records for patient appointments, scan documents as required, and maintain accurate records.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: One year of customer service experience and/or related medical field experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to multitask, and maintain confidential information.
Work Environment

This position requires regular attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The employee must be able to interact with others, operate computers and office equipment, and maintain confidentiality.
