Job Summary

Under the direction of the Area Service Manager, this role is responsible for developing customer satisfaction through technical repair, installation, training, operation, and maintenance of Werfen instruments and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provides highly visible customer support through on-site installations and necessary diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex instruments and systems.
  2. Performs routine and some non-routine technical repairs of all systems, including updates, retrofits, PMs, and product enhancements.
  3. Instructs customers in the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Werfen instruments and systems.
  4. Complies with all appropriate regulatory bodies (FDA, ISO, and Health Canada) mandated policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
  5. Serves as a company liaison with customers and interacts with sales counterparts to address customer situations, updates, and lead generation.
  6. Assures financial stability and viability of the territory by promoting and selling service agreements, PMs, and other services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, work under pressure, and exercise good judgment.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers, peers, and management through oral and written presentations/reports.
  • Basic MS Office skills, including the ability to manipulate data and build presentations.
  • Ability to travel, with a minimum of 30% by auto in the primary assigned territory and 10% by air for training, business meetings, and/or support to customers outside the primary or assigned territory.
