About the Role

Columbia Hospitality is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Operations to lead our Hotel Indigo Everett property. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall direction, coordination, and leadership of all departments within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides strategic direction and guidance to department heads to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develops and implements annual operating goals, addressing financial, guest, infrastructure, and learning and growth drivers.
  • Works closely with department leaders to meet or exceed established budgetary guidelines and establishes sound pricing policies for guest services.
  • Directs the preparation, production, and distribution of all required reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Protects and enhances the value of hotel assets through maintenance, security, emergency preparedness, housekeeping, and capital improvements.
  • Analyzes guest feedback and implements changes and upgrades in service as necessary.
  • Promotes the hotel by building and maintaining relationships with local community organizations, city officials, industry associations, and public relations entities.
  • Selects, supervises, trains, develops, schedules, disciplines, and counsels staff, demonstrating positive leadership characteristics that empower and inspire employees to meet and exceed standards.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a General Manager role at a property of similar size and level of service.
  • Working knowledge of all applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to write contracts, reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals.
  • Strong general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning, and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget management, expense control, forecasting, and analysis of financial statements.
  • Strong people management skills, including coaching, motivating, delegating, scheduling, and relationship-building.
