This Employee Benefits Sales Executive role collaborates closely with the Client Executive and the account service team to manage both existing and prospective client accounts, ensuring the establishment of enduring relationships that foster client loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to devise long-term strategies for Employee Benefits that align with their business objectives, overseeing the execution of these strategies in relation to financial markets and employee engagement.
  • Deliver exceptional service to clients, enabling the Client Executive to achieve optimal account retention and sales performance in line with corporate objectives.
  • Take ownership of significant issues on current accounts, working with team members to formulate solutions and effectively communicate these to clients in alignment with our Core Values.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from clients and service team members.
  • Present renewal proposals to clients and facilitate the delivery of policies.
  • Coordinate and support all internal activities (such as communication, annual planning, project management, customer service, and group marketing) to effectively service both existing and prospective clients.
  • Maintain advanced technical knowledge of products and coverage interpretations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliverables in accordance with established company standards.
  • Document client meetings with comprehensive reports detailing discussions, decisions, and action items.
  • Relay pertinent client information to the service team, including buying preferences, expectations, concerns, and other relevant insights to ensure a consistently high level of service.
  • Facilitate open enrollment processes and conduct related meetings alongside the Client Executive and/or Account Manager.
  • Identify opportunities for employee education and prepare presentations or collaborate with Corporate Communications to develop targeted communications.
  • Manage complex claims situations in conjunction with the Account Manager.
  • Continuously enhance technical insurance skills and product knowledge, fulfilling ongoing education and licensing requirements.
  • Promote the agency and the insurance industry within the community.
  • Undertake special projects as requested by the Client Executive.
  • Stay informed about Federal and State legislation relevant to the benefits sector and communicate updates to all involved service team members.
  • Coordinate services available from other divisions and service teams within Kapnick.
  • Monitor and manage communications, including voicemail and email, in accordance with agency guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in group benefits.
  • Life & Health License is required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), video conferencing tools, and Agency Management Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for industry meetings.
