SLS Hotels is a leading hospitality company that offers a unique and exciting experience for its guests. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cluster Sales Manager, FIT Wholesale to join our Sales and Marketing Team at SLS South Beach in Miami.

Job Purpose

Under the guidance of the Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing, the successful candidate will lead our efforts in maximizing revenue from leisure travel segments, including wholesale, tour operator, DMC, hybrid, FIT, and similar business segments. The role will collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams to develop and execute strategies that enhance our market presence and profitability across the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Sales Initiatives: Present and handle all leisure sales and marketing initiatives for a cluster of hotels, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Account Management: Maintain responsibility for contracting, negotiation, and account management for all existing accounts, driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • New Business Development: Prospect and acquire new accounts in existing and emerging markets, maximizing hotel exposure and meeting established revenue goals.
  • Segment Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with Revenue Management and DOSM to determine best segment pricing strategies per property, driving occupancy and desired revenue/ADR.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute tactical leisure promotions, marketing campaigns, and override agreements to create brand awareness and drive new business, adapting strategies based on market feedback.
  • Sabre Integration: Work directly with Sabre on new SynXis connections, collaborating with Revenue to determine rate codes needed and reviewing mapping, conducting periodic audits, and reviewing margins.
  • Training and Support: Provide direction, support, and training to on-property management and Call Center teams to ensure flawless service of FIT programs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor segment sales performance, tracking production, monthly, quarterly, and annually vs. budget.
  • Partner Workbooks: Create Partner Workbooks containing complete details of the segment.
  • Distribution and Coordination: Coordinate the distribution of Stop Sell Calendars for all hotels and source and coordinate participation in travel trade shows, presentations, and conferences.
  • Account Management: Conduct monthly calls with top accounts to review pace, market trends, and marketing opportunities.
  • Commercial Meetings: Participate in weekly hotel commercial meetings, including Commercial Strategy Reviews.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Communication: Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to venue teams.
    • Team Collaboration: Communicate with employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information.
    • Problem-Solving: Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
  • Compliance: Ensure constant compliance with all necessary operational policies, including Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Maintenance, Emergency Procedures, and Liquor Licensing.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in a senior sales role managing multiple resorts, preferably in the USA.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge and understanding of resort and city hotels, as well as the Tour Operator, FIT, Wholesale, and Leisure segments.
  • Skills: Passionate about hotel sales and goal-driven, with excellent relationship-building skills, problem-solving ability, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Education: Proficient in Windows Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.
