Position Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for the daily management of production scheduling, ensuring effective coordination between production lines and inventory. You will oversee both short-term and long-term hardware availability and actively collaborate with the supply chain team to maintain a seamless production flow.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the logistics team to prioritize hardware transportation between manufacturing locations and arrange urgent shipments as necessary.
  • Conduct audits of ERP data related to in-factory hardware movements to ensure data integrity.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to the planning processes.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of basic supply chain architecture.
  • Resolve issues related to the execution scheduling system in partnership with the SCADA Engineering Team.
  • Engage with international teams to ensure effective planning across the organization.
  • Notify relevant departments promptly of any changes to production schedules.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of multi-level product and scheduling processes.
  • Utilize data mining techniques to analyze information and formulate actionable plans, ensuring production orders are scheduled and prioritized in alignment with available resources.
  • Monitor weekly order progress, identify critical path schedules, and communicate necessary adjustments to stakeholders.
  • Perform critical path and variance analyses as required.
  • This role reports to the Senior Materials and Production Planner.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3-5 years of applicable experience.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) is advantageous.

Experience:

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing setting is essential.
  • Ability to comprehend basic aerospace engineering terminology and practices.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to address challenges effectively.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English; verbal proficiency in French and Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines in accordance with project expectations.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively across the organization.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and functional interrelationships.
  • Proficient in using Outlook, Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and TEAMS.
  • Solid background in materials management and production planning.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong familiarity with MRP systems and related software; experience with SAP is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Carrying: Ability to carry documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Ability to push/pull items in office settings.
  • Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: Ability to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on lower shelves.
  • Standing: Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Travel: Ability to travel independently and on short notice.
  • Walking: Ability to navigate through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
