Job Summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Electronic Health Records Tech to join our team. As an Electronic Health Records Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, assess, and process patient documentation to support overall patient safety and revenue cycle management.
  • Announce codes and pages through a hospital communication system to facilitate efficient communication among healthcare teams.
  • Answer and transfer calls to the appropriate location, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Request medical records to be mailed or faxed to Norton Healthcare and log them through a digital medical record system.
  • Store, retrieve, review, assess, and process health-related information in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Answer calls from other healthcare entities and release records via request over the phone, digital medical record system, mail, or fax.
Qualifications
  • No experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Registered Health Information Technician certification a plus.
Desired Skills
  • One year of experience in Health Information Management (HIM) a plus.
