Mental Health Monitoring Specialist

About the Role:
UofL Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health Monitoring Specialist to join our team. As a Mental Health Monitoring Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients on units and report any suspicious or dangerous behaviors to the appropriate personnel.
- Document calls to units, emergency codes, and seclusion/restraints events.
- Initiate calls to units to obtain locations of patients being monitored and behaviors for which patients are being monitored.
- Notify Nurse, Risk department, House Manager, and/or Manager as appropriate when safety and quality concerns are present.
- Attend in-service educations/Healthstream modules to update skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
- Two (2) years of social services experience (required), with one (1) year in mental health direct patient care (preferred)
- Prevent First Module plus observe NVCI‐APS & Seclusion/Restraint (required)
