Administrative Specialist

Northwest Regional Education Service District is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist to join our team. As an Administrative Specialist, you will provide advanced administrative support to our instructional services department, ensuring the smooth operation of our programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clerical and secretarial support to the instructional services department, including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing documents.
- Independently prepare, maintain, and disseminate records and files, establishing and updating manual and electronic recordkeeping systems.
- Compose, review, edit, and proofread documents and reports using correct business English, including composition, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and letter format.
- Process requisitions, reimbursements, purchase orders, invoices, and reports, including appropriate documentation and assuring appropriate approval and account coding.
- Update website content for program/department-specific information and develop forms for use in the delivery of assigned tasks.
- Assist other personnel to ensure the efficacy of NWRESD work, including training other employees in advanced applications, processes, or procedures.
- Compile data and prepare reports utilizing advanced features in software solutions used by NWRESD, including retrieval and manipulation of data in spreadsheets for state and federal reporting and monitoring for compliance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background and Criminal History Verification clearance.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license, vehicle available for use on the job, and accompanying automobile insurance.

- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including computers, copiers, FAX machines, and other related equipment or machines.
- Ability to exhibit professionalism and effective human relations.
- Confer regularly with supervisor and/or designee.
- Skillfully utilize educational technology and software as required by the position.
- Possess advanced experience with Google Workspace Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, including documents, drives, spreadsheets, and email.
- Possess organizational skills for effectively managing multiple tasks.
- Possess experience with data entry.
- Ability to compose a finished product from rough copy or verbal instructions.
- Record of ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
- Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information and respond sensitively to questions about student, family, and staff matters.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in professional development activities.
