Patient Access Representative PCC

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient data, insurance information, and demographic details.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately process patient registration information into our Eclipsys system and verify data accuracy
- Provide information related to billing, compliance, patient rights, and HIPAA
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain authorizations for patient stays
- Request and collect co-pays, deposits, and issue receipts at time of payment
- Communicate with medical and clinical personnel regarding patient access, interfacility transfers, discharge processing, and reimbursement issues
- Index patient information to HPR and interact with IS, HIM, and ASR's to ensure optimal information flow
- Two years of medical office or customer service experience
- Participation in orientation, patient access training program, and continuing education
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with Eclipsys or PHS/HPF
- Excellent communication and human relations skills
