Key Responsibilities- Accurately process patient registration information and verify data accuracy
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain authorizations
- Communicate with medical and clinical personnel regarding patient access and discharge processing
- Index patient information to the hospital's patient registration system
- Perform other clerical tasks to support the supervisor
- Two years of medical office or customer service experience
- Word processing skills and basic mathematical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication and human relations skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with Eclipsys or PHS/HPF systems
This position is located in a clinical setting and requires exposure to various healthcare environments. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
