Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative plays a critical role in the revenue cycle by accurately processing patient data and ensuring compliance with payor insurance requirements. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process patient registration information and verify data for accuracy
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed
  • Communicate with medical and clinical personnel to ensure optimal patient flow and reimbursement
  • Perform other clerical tasks to support supervisor and departmental needs
Requirements
  • Two years of medical office or customer service experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in word processing and PC software
Working Conditions
