Director of Environmental Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Housekeeping and Laundry Services to join our team at Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain a high level of environmental quality.
- Supervise and train housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure they are proficient in their job duties and competencies.
- Manage the ordering and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are available to meet the needs of the department.
- Oversee the operation of in-house laundries, including the collection, cleaning, and distribution of resident clothing and linens.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure that all floors are maintained and equipment remains in good working condition.
- Collaborate with the Administrator to identify opportunities to improve environmental appearance, cleaning efficiency, and safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
- Minimum two-year college degree in the field of management or certification in Housekeeping/Sanitation coursework in an approved facility or academic setting and three years experience in a management role.
- OR High School Graduate with supplemental coursework related to management, housekeeping/sanitation and five years experience as Director/Supervisor of a Housekeeping Department.
