Job Description

USA Tech Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting issues, and leading projects to improve processes and security within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • IT Operations: Receive and implement IT actions based on strategic direction from the US office, report back on progress and issues, and maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization.
  • Technical Support: Provide first and second-level end-user technical support, support of hardware/network/software, installing, configuring, and maintaining server systems, software, computer systems, and maintaining IT equipment.
  • Network Administration: Configure and maintain firewalls to industry best practices, perform network modifications and configurations for switches, routers, firewalls, etc., and prepare summary reports of network operations and server health.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor network performance and uptime, make recommendations to improve both, and prepare summary reports of network operations and server health.
  • Standby Support: Provide standby support and join calls outside of business hours as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years' experience in IT support.
  • Desire to expand skillset towards managing higher-level tasks (sysadmin, network admin, etc.).
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Hyper-v, Windows Server, SQL required.
  • Linux knowledge a plus.
  • Knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple different projects at the same time.
