Front Desk Clerk Job Description

At Fairfield Inn - Kansas City at the Legends, Kansas City, Kansas, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Greet and welcome guests, register them into the system, and provide accurate and timely information and services.
  • Reservations and Check-in/Check-out: Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries, take reservations, and perform check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
  • Cash Handling and Security: Handle cash and credit transactions, maintain a house bank, and ensure the security of guest rooms and valuables.
  • Problem Resolution: Promptly respond to and resolve guest complaints and concerns.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, respond to emails, and communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting, preferably with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
