Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the NPTS program chair and CACS advisor, the NPTS Program Support Assistant plays a vital role in facilitating the operations of the NPTS program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the CACS advisor to create a weekly "Opportunity" newsletter tailored for NPTS students, featuring pertinent announcements and job/internship opportunities.
- Provides assistance to the NPTS program chair as required.
- Maintains and updates the NPTS Job/Internship spreadsheet as necessary.
- Regularly updates a spreadsheet documenting faculty and student achievements, including publications and conference presentations.
- Acts as a liaison between the program chair and NPTS students, ensuring effective communication.
- Aids in organizing the end-of-semester program reception for graduating students.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the program.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proficient computer skills, including word processing, internet navigation, email, and database management (Excel, Handshake).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and projects effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills, with a collaborative approach to working with faculty, staff, and peers.
- Willingness to adhere to institutional policies and procedures.

Education/Experience:
- A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills for the role.

Physical Requirements/Environment:
- The position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, handle lightweight parcels and supplies, and perform repetitive tasks such as typing and writing.
