Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become a vital part of our rehabilitation team. The PTA will operate under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting patients in their journey to regain physical mobility, strength, and overall functionality. The ideal candidate will exhibit motivation, attention to detail, and a strong dedication to patient-centered care.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the Physical Therapist in executing treatment strategies aimed at enhancing patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises, massages, and other interventions as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Track patient progress and communicate any significant changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding exercises and activities to perform at home.
  • Maintain precise and timely records of patient care, including treatment sessions and progress documentation.
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and clean environment for both patients and staff.
  • Assist with scheduling and managing patient appointments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to deliver holistic and patient-focused care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Prior experience in a clinical or rehabilitation environment is advantageous.
