About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assembly Operations Supervisor to join our team at S&C Electric. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our assembly department, ensuring that our products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Provide day-to-day work direction, plan work orders and resources, and drive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of team leads and hourly team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure the growth and development of your team.
  • Quality and Safety: Oversee the implementation of standardized work documents, Lean Manufacturing concepts, and quality standards to ensure the production of high-quality products.
  • Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement: Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives using the 4 Step Problem Solving methodology and completion of A3's to solve recurring issues and improve team effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives and influence the resolution of high-priority and payoff problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor outputs, conduct regular ad-hoc visual inspections, and track and report on production data and KPIs through the use of KPI boards and leadership meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One to three years of experience combining supervisory level responsibility or hands-on project management and assembly operations experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Completion of an Electrical or Mechanical Trade Certificate, Apprenticeship program, or similar; Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in operations management, technical/engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
