Key Responsibilities:

The Materials Manager plays a crucial role in our leadership team, focusing on continuous improvement in planning and achieving exceptional performance metrics. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic insights to enhance lead times, cost efficiency, cash flow, and service levels through the analysis of goods flow.
  • Overseeing the local SIOP process and evaluating business inputs to balance revenue, customer service, cash flow, and overall costs.
  • Forecasting and managing demand requirements in alignment with manufacturing and supplier capabilities to meet customer needs.
  • Implementing efficient practices for material movement through the supply chain to optimize logistics and inventory levels while ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Analyzing data and generating managerial reports to facilitate informed decision-making for optimal supply chain execution.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the team to enhance service delivery both internally and externally.
  • Collaborating with Operations, Sales, and customers to drive success.
  • Managing site logistics and local 3PL relationships to balance cost and service quality.
  • Representing the site in various councils to promote best practices and standardized processes.
  • Embracing our cultural values to foster a safe workplace, excel in improvement, respect others, value customer commitments, and promote teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of five years of experience leading a fully integrated Materials team in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and equipment related to various goods and services
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on collaboration and solution-oriented approaches

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Relevant certifications such as CPSM or CPM
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
