About the Role

S&C Electric Company, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking an Assembler to join our team. As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team that works to keep the lights on around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble IntelliRupters at one of several stations, in sizes approximately 9' x 4' x 4'.
  • Identify, transport, install, mount, and bolt all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 25 lbs. without equipment assistance). Some judgment required to assemble and make simple adjustments.
  • Perform mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures.
  • Use simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges, and instruments, and overhead cranes, if required.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly operations.
  • Ability to use basic shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures.
  • Ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures and read assembly prints.
  • Mechanical assembly experience preferred.
