Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be tasked with formulating and executing strategies and operational plans to ensure our facility and production machinery operate safely, comply with regulations, and achieve maximum efficiency while leveraging technological advancements. As a vital member of the Plant Leadership Team (PLT), you will work closely with the plant team to enhance operations.

As the Senior Supervisor of Plant Engineering, your contributions will include:

Overseeing daily operations and coordination of Plant Engineering and Maintenance resources to meet the demands of our business partners. Leading the Plant Engineering department by developing and implementing strategic and operational plans, including staffing, budget management, workload forecasting, and succession planning. Cultivating technical expertise within the PE team and providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to team members. Representing the Plant Engineering/Facilities Management organization on the site PLT to deliver comprehensive facility-related services. Promoting safety initiatives and supporting efforts to enhance equipment reliability and productivity within the Plant Engineering department. Advocating for Maintenance Conscious Engineering (MCE) considerations during project discussions and actively supporting the Management of Change (MOC) process for safe and effective implementation of modifications. Communicating project or program updates and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
To ensure your success in this role from the outset, 3M requires the following qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing setting, whether in private, public, government, or military sectors At least two (2) years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that may enhance your success in this role include:

A Secondary Degree or higher in Engineering or a related Technical Field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. Experience working in a unionized environment Previous leadership experience in Manufacturing or Plant Engineering Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean principles, Root Cause Problem Solving, TPM, etc.) Proven ability to achieve objectives related to EHS, Quality, Service, and Cost Basic knowledge of Environmental and Regulatory Compliance, NFPA, and OSHA standards. Relevant certifications such as Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Certified Maintenance Manager, or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional. Strong capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide leadership within a diverse organization.

This position may require occasional domestic travel and relocation assistance may be available.
