Job Description

A leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead the design, modernization, and installation oversight of control systems for specialty equipment in the metals industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy PLC-based automation control systems, integrating motion control, sensors, VFD drives, and actuators.
  • Provide ongoing support for existing systems, troubleshooting and ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Program Level 1 control systems based on function descriptions and layouts.
  • Collaborate with project teams, internal experts, and customers to engineer solutions for technical challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and simulation of systems prior to delivery.
  • Execute on-site commissioning and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with I&E/control system emphasis), or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with PLCs and automation practices.
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell RSlogix5000 is preferred.
  • Familiarity with WinCC and Wonderware InTouch HMI systems is preferred.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to solve design problems.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel for project support.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
