The Team

The Auto Retail Marketing team is a vibrant and expanding group responsible for promoting Upstart's automotive retail platform to numerous dealerships across the nation. We are eager to revolutionize the car buying journey and enhance credit accessibility.

As a Senior Marketing Manager at Upstart, you will report directly to the Head of Marketing for the Auto Retail division. This prominent role will define and implement marketing initiatives across various channels, playing a crucial part in driving the growth of Auto Retail by creating, refining, and managing campaigns that attract and convert qualified leads. You will be accountable for revenue growth by designing, executing, assessing, and optimizing multi-channel marketing strategies that encourage automotive dealerships to partner with Upstart. Collaborating closely with sales, customer success, and product development teams, you will identify revenue growth opportunities and build a scalable demand generation engine. This position includes leadership of two direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop inbound lead generation strategies utilizing diverse channels such as organic search, paid advertising, social media, email marketing, direct mail, and events.
  • Increase new leads by converting website traffic through effective calls-to-action, landing pages, and engaging lead generation content.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team to ensure quality lead delivery and incorporate feedback into marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance, including conversion metrics.
  • Partner with internal and external creative teams to produce content that drives engagement and action.
  • Ensure timely execution of initiatives by managing stakeholders, timelines, budgets, and processes.
  • Work with sales teams to craft messaging and outreach strategies that resonate with prospects.
  • Design account-based marketing programs for large accounts to expedite the enterprise sales cycle.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years of analytical experience in B2B marketing focused on acquisition, growth, or demand generation.
  • Results-driven with a strong emphasis on achieving revenue and conversion goals.
  • Ability to leverage metrics for program management and success measurement.
  • Experience in content creation, email marketing, and lead nurturing.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex concepts into compelling messaging.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with SDRs and sales teams to coordinate and deliver marketing programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Hubspot, and/or Outreach.
  • Prior experience in automotive dealership software or financial technology.
  • Experience in B2B demand generation within a rapidly growing tech company.
  • Proven track record of managing a high-performing demand generation team.
