Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for Retail Sales Planning within our Pediatric Nutrition brands. This role is pivotal in guiding the U.S. Nutrition business's decision-making processes related to retail shipment forecasts and inventory management, utilizing data-driven insights and collaborating across various departments including Retail Sales, Demand Planning, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop bi-monthly Retail Sales Projections (RSP) for Pediatric Nutrition brands, coordinating with retail teams and consolidating inputs from various business units.
  • Analyze and challenge assumptions in team-level forecasts, creating comprehensive brand-level retail forecasts using professional judgment.
  • Integrate RSP inventory assumptions with Brand Latest Best Estimate (LBE) through collaboration with Brand Finance and Retail Sales.
  • Lead monthly brand RSP meetings, presenting projections and offering insights based on data and metrics.
  • Maintain and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, including Daily Retail Tracker and S&OP inventory tables.
  • Monitor daily shipments and orders, communicating significant updates to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate integration with Retail Sales through consistent communication regarding forecasts and trends.
  • Identify and advocate for ad-hoc projects aimed at process improvement and collaboration between Retail Sales and Brand teams.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance, sales, or sales forecasting, with a preference for candidates with commercial finance or sales analysis backgrounds.
  • A degree in business or a related field (e.g., mathematics, economics) that emphasizes quantitative skills.
  • A self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • The capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and strong communication capabilities, as this role interacts with various levels within the U.S. Nutrition organization.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, advanced Excel skills (including macros), and familiarity with PowerPoint; experience with Cognos and Power BI is advantageous.
