Hajoca Corporation is a prominent privately-held distributor specializing in plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Although Hajoca operates on a large scale, we maintain a decentralized structure where each of our locations, known as Profit Centers (PCs), is managed independently, resembling a small business. Each PC is equipped with a warehouse, sales office, and often a showroom, allowing us to tailor our approach to the unique characteristics of each local market.

We are currently seeking an Inside Sales/CSR professional to contribute to our success.

The compensation for this role is competitive, reflecting the importance of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers primarily through telephone communication, delivering the necessary customer service to generate and finalize sales.
  • Achieve or surpass established sales and gross profit targets, contributing to profit-sharing initiatives.
  • Accurately process sales orders and bids resulting from telephone sales interactions.
  • Assist customers who visit the Profit Center to collect their orders.
  • Identify innovative strategies to enhance sales with existing clients and establish yourself as their trusted advisor.
  • Generate leads that can convert into new customer relationships.
  • Recognize opportunities for value-added services and effectively communicate our solutions.
  • Address and resolve customer issues, manage pricing discrepancies, and handle material returns in accordance with company policies, ensuring timely follow-up for resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Support Counter and Outside Sales efforts as part of our collaborative Profit Center team.
  • Notify the Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager of any changes in a customer's business that may pose a credit risk.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales; experience in contractor sales is preferred.
  • Familiarity with products offered in the Profit Center.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) for communication, maintaining sales plans, call reports, customer contact files, and analyzing customer data.

  • Ability to foster positive working relationships and encourage teamwork among colleagues.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize the computer systems required for order processing.
  • Capability to operate warehouse material-handling equipment as needed.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling numbers, fractions, and decimals.
