Position Overview

Role Summary:

The IT Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for all technology-related incidents and service inquiries. This role is essential in delivering first-line support to all clients of Orthopaedic Solutions Management. The IT Support Specialist is tasked with addressing support requests while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and consistent service delivery. The IT Support team operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, providing assistance via phone, email, in-person interactions, and self-service options.

Key Duties:

  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and various software applications.
  • Assist users with any logged IT-related incidents as required.
  • Take ownership of issues by conducting problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent solutions aimed at restoring service promptly; escalate incidents to other support teams when necessary.
  • Accurately document, update, and track requests using the IT service management system.
  • Install and configure new IT equipment.
  • Resolve incidents and perform upgrades on various software and hardware.
  • Address issues related to printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring all clients are treated efficiently and respectfully.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills, effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrate motivation as a team player with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Create, maintain, and publish relevant support documentation to assist staff in resolving incidents and service requests quickly, fostering user self-sufficiency.
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, providing necessary coverage as needed.
  • Participate in internal training to stay updated with the latest technologies and internal processes.
  • Comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Engage in the Annual Performance Development Review Process.
  • Attend training sessions as identified for professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as required, ensuring they align with the nature and level of responsibility.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures set forth by Orthopaedic Solutions Management.
  • Fulfill any other assigned responsibilities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience in an IT support capacity.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and MAC operating systems, along with various software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong IT skills and computer literacy.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills, engaging professionally with a diverse range of individuals in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare environment.
