Position Overview

Role Summary:

The IT Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for all technology-related incidents and service inquiries. This role focuses on delivering first-level support to all clients of Orthopaedic Solutions Management. The IT Support Specialist is tasked with addressing support requests while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and ongoing service delivery. IT Support personnel operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing assistance via phone, email, in-person interactions, and self-service options.

Key Duties:

  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and various software applications.
  • Assist users with any logged IT-related incidents as required.
  • Take ownership of issues by conducting problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent solutions aimed at restoring service promptly; escalate incidents to other support teams when necessary.
  • Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service management system.
  • Install and configure new IT equipment as needed.
  • Resolve incidents and upgrade various types of software and hardware.
  • Address issues related to printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring all clients are treated efficiently and respectfully.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills, effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrate a proactive team-oriented approach with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Create, maintain, and publish relevant support documentation to assist staff in quickly resolving their incidents and service requests, promoting user self-sufficiency.
  • Display flexibility in working on a rotating basis and provide necessary coverage as required.
  • Participate in internal training to stay updated with the latest technology and internal processes.
  • Adhere to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Engage in the Annual Performance Development Review Process.
  • Attend training courses as identified for professional development.
  • Perform other duties as necessary that do not alter the nature or level of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures set forth by Orthopaedic Solutions Management.
  • Complete all other assigned tasks.

Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience in an IT support role.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and MAC operating systems, as well as various software applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong IT skills and computer literacy.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with a diverse range of individuals in a professional manner, both in person and in writing.
  • Ability to demonstrate practical troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Capability to plan and prioritize workload independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare environment.
