Position Overview:

The Marketing Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the marketing and brand management initiatives while contributing to the development of innovative strategies that align with CCBank's objectives for growth and brand recognition. This position encompasses a variety of marketing functions within a dynamic community bank and its affiliated mortgage entity, including public relations, customer experience enhancement, advertising, branding, event coordination, research, reporting, lead management, and campaign execution. The role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and administrative capabilities to ensure effective marketing operations that elevate the bank's brand visibility and foster customer engagement, all while adhering to strict deadlines. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing & Brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating and executing the bank's marketing and branding strategy, ensuring alignment with both immediate and long-term organizational goals.
  • Generate reports and metrics to evaluate the success of marketing and brand management efforts.
  • Support the upkeep and enhancement of internal resources, including lead generation databases, market research, competitive analysis, campaign performance, customer journeys, and pipeline development activities.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing manager to maintain the bank's digital and social media platforms, overseeing SEO initiatives and digital content calendars.
  • Stay updated on industry trends through workshops, research, seminars, and relevant events.

Daily and Monthly Duties:

  • Assist the marketing and branch network teams in assessing and establishing the marketing and brand management plan by compiling product and market forecasts, setting marketing objectives, organizing activities and events, and updating the marketing calendar to reflect achievements and key outcomes.
  • Communicate marketing and branding goals, strategies, timelines, and deliverables to internal stakeholders and management, incorporating feedback as necessary.
  • Plan and execute marketing events, webinars, podcasts, and sponsorships, managing logistics, vendor relationships, follow-up, and post-event evaluations.
  • Coordinate projects, audits, and enhancements related to the bank's brand management strategy.
  • Oversee the creation and production of marketing materials, ensuring consistency with brand standards and high-quality output.
  • Continuously seek and analyze new sources of potential customer data, providing insights and recommendations to marketing and internal teams, and coordinating updates on internal tracking systems.
  • Compile and distribute a monthly report on marketing and brand management, highlighting key results, adjustments to the marketing strategy and budget, vendor management updates, and insights into essential performance indicators for departmental success.

Interpersonal and Team Skills:

  • Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to accept direction and constructive criticism.
  • Keep relevant stakeholders informed about project progress, challenges, and issues.
  • Negotiate and resolve conflicts related to projects or assignments, escalating issues to management as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the financial sector, including community or mortgage banking.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in tracking and forecasting marketing budgets.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards within the financial industry.
  • Able to work independently in a dynamic setting as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • This is a full-time position that may involve travel for events and meetings.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines or manage events.
