Job Overview

SunPlus Data Group, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Analyst/Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documents and artifacts that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical documents, policies, and procedures that are clear, concise, and easy to understand.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project directors, technical directors, and business stakeholders, to create and review documents and artifacts.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of Information Security Plans, Policies, Standards, and Procedural documents to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Agency requirements.
  • Coordinate the Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM) processes and documentation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in technical writing and documentation, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of all documents and artifacts, ensuring that they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Revise documents as changes or modifications to information systems and services occur.
  • Actively participate in scope-related meetings, capturing essential elements for project meeting minutes.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of documented Information Technology related work experience.
  • 2+ years of technical writing experience in positions requiring the development of structured written materials and visual aids.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external vendors, project team members, management, and agency departments.
  • Ability to write, edit, and prepare presentations of technical information for both technical and business personnel.
  • Experience in organizing information in a way that is appropriate for technical explanations without losing sight of the needs and aptitude of the audience.
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate with multiple teams and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in order to meet deadlines.
  • Must possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc.) to include working with templates and style guidelines for branding consistency.
  • Keen attention to detail while maintaining the ability to see the big picture.
  • Ability to absorb and retain complex processes.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the rules of English grammar and usage.
  • Ability to accept changes and constructive criticism in a fast turn-around environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in writing System Security Plans, Advance Planning Documents, Requests For Proposals, or similar documents.
  • Experience with CMS MARS-E 2.2 or other NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliant programs.
  • Prior experience with Bizagi.
  • Previous public sector work experience.
  • Experience with an eGRC tool.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, technical writing, or similar discipline.
