Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst Include:

  • Develop a comprehensive financial management strategy to facilitate our client's success.
  • Collaborate with project management, schedulers, and task leads to formulate a practical plan for your DoN client to secure the necessary funding to meet their objectives.
  • Utilize your understanding of laws, regulations, and policies to provide analytical support for the creation of well-defined requirements.
  • Ensure efficient use of funding through consistent monitoring and communication with project management and task leads.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience providing financial management support to a DoD organization, including 2+ years of experience with the Navy.
  • Must possess an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
  • Ability to create and present reports that reflect program and project financial execution status to senior leadership, including Program Manager (PM), Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM), and Business Financial Manager (BFM).
  • Experience in offering recommendations to senior leadership, demonstrating a proactive, self-starting attitude, and seeking opportunities to enhance client processes.
  • Familiarity with the government Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution Process (PPBE), the Navy's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and knowledge of the Procurement Business Intelligence Service (PBIS).
  • Experience directly supporting government Business Financial Management (BFM), including the ability to interpret financial data for urgent tasks (e.g., Obligation Phasing Plans, fiscal year mid-year and end-of-year obligation, and expenditure reports).
  • Proficient in financial analysis within a professional setting, including the ability to provide financial recommendations for the utilization of program-level funding and various funding sources.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to create Purchase Requisition (PR) documents.
  • Experience with Navy NEPS and TPS processes.
  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I Certification.
  • Completion of financial-related courses at the Defense Acquisition University, such as Acquisition (ACQ) 101.
