Position Overview
Our client, a leader in Data Center Construction, is looking for a Construction Mechanical Engineer to contribute to innovative projects.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000

Job Responsibilities
As a key member of the engineering team, you will:
  • Engage in mechanical engineering and design tasks under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Utilize advanced engineering software for mechanical design.
  • Conduct detailed designs and selections for HVAC systems.
  • Specify and select mechanical equipment and devices.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings, ensuring timely responses to RFIs.
  • Document changes and provide updates on scope, schedule, and budget to the project team.
  • Analyze data and prepare recommendations, summaries, and cost estimates for senior engineers.
  • Draft technical reports to document engineering analyses and findings.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for proposed systems and equipment.
  • Assist senior engineers in reviewing design plans and cost estimates.
  • Evaluate engineering solutions and specifications.
  • Serve as a technical resource for junior staff on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-disciplinary colleagues.
  • Participate actively in design and construction project meetings.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures throughout the design process.
  • Propose innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Perform load calculations and detailed engineering design, preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Edit standard specifications to align with project requirements.
  • May act as a field engineer, conducting site visits and preparing observation reports.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 6 years of design experience in consulting or design-build environments.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • A solid understanding of contract and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and engineering processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Revit, and other engineering software.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification is preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus.
