Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior professional with extensive expertise in the field and a comprehensive understanding of project management. Oversee complex projects or processes with general guidance, ensuring effective communication within and outside the department to foster collaboration on operational practices.
- Conduct work with a level of general oversight, potentially managing large-scale projects that extend beyond immediate responsibilities. Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to junior team members while overseeing intricate project management tasks.
- Engage in communication with both internal and external stakeholders, including customers and vendors, to ensure clarity and cooperation regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
- Focus on enhancing systems and processes to boost job performance, tackling complex problem-solving opportunities that require thorough information gathering, analysis, and investigation.
- Work towards achieving operational objectives that directly influence departmental outcomes, contributing to the establishment of departmental goals and planning initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Possess a strong understanding of the mechanical engineering discipline, often recognized as a specialist within the field. A broad knowledge of project management is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's Degree accompanied by a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required. Alternatively, a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Educational and experiential prerequisites should not be viewed in isolation from other relevant factors. Additional education and experience may be substituted for stated qualifications.
