Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical systems for our industrial campus facilities, including centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, pumps, VFDs, steam boilers, hot water boilers, oil-free compressors, desiccant dryers, air handlers, exhaust fans, VAV boxes, HEPA filters, recirculating air units, make-up air units, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, acid and VOC scrubbers, heat exchangers, tanks, vacuum pumps, and scrubbers.
- Project Management: Take on project management responsibilities for projects during the design phase and construction phase. Organize and lead project meetings, develop detailed project scope of work and RFP, evaluate competitive bids, and make recommendations for vendor selection.
- Estimating and Scheduling: Create new capital project ROM estimates, construction schedules, and funding justification presentations. Review and comment on new mechanical systems designs produced by MEP design firms under contract to WD. Review existing mechanical systems designs as required when troubleshooting issues that may require an engineered solution.
- Facility Condition Assessment: Assist with facility condition assessment of existing mechanical systems. Review existing mechanical systems installations through field investigation when necessary.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience with high-tech electronics/semiconductor manufacturing or research facility, pharmaceutical bio-tech facility, or some other high-availability and high-tech type of facility.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of design standards for Clean Rooms, Analytical Labs, Data Centers, Telecom Rooms, Offices, Mechanical Rooms, and Central Utility Plants.
- Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- Design, Engineering Calculations, Estimating, Scheduling, Writing RFP's, Evaluating Proposals, Project Management, Mechanical Systems Troubleshooting.
- Residential experience and must showcase experience with design standards for Clean Rooms, Analytical Labs, Data Centers, Telecom Rooms, Offices, Mechanical Rooms, and Central Utility Plants.
- Must have experience with creating new capital project ROM estimates, construction schedules, and funding justification presentations.
- Must have Facilities Engineering Experience.
- Must have facility mechanical systems experience.
- Must have construction Project Management experience.
- Must have a Mechanical Engineering degree.
- HVAC Design.
