Job Description

Stellar Industrial Supply is a leading industrial distribution company focused on finding solutions for our customers' everyday challenges. We offer products, services, and expertise that help reduce costs and increase efficiencies.

We are seeking a skilled Account Manager to develop strong customer relationships and grow business, sales, and related services to our customers in Northern Alabama. This role involves partnering with our Specialists, supplier representatives, and customer experience teams to offer new and existing customers a wide variety of solutions designed to improve their bottom line.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage multiple accounts within an assigned territory, ensuring high customer retention and satisfaction.
  2. Establish and implement sales growth plans for each customer and location.
  3. Gain a consistent understanding of our Value Proposition and execute it effectively.
  4. Continuously look for ways to provide value to our customers, documenting cost savings and reporting back to the customer.
  5. Partner with local supplier representatives and Specialists to create value and improved efficiencies for all customers.
  6. Develop a pipeline of customer prospects through networking, referrals, research, and cold calling, utilizing our CRM (Proton AI).
  7. Plan, organize, and schedule territory development.
  8. Stay updated on product and industry knowledge.
  9. Mastery of Stellar systems and tools.
  10. Strive to constantly improve.
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Passion for helping people solve dynamic problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex information.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to listen effectively and interpret customer needs.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and be detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel overnight, specifically for training and sales meetings.
Experience

3-5 years of sales experience, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing industry.

Strong mechanical or technical aptitude is a plus.

Experience with cutting tools, metalworking, tapes, abrasives, or adhesives is desired but not required.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
