We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at the ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH). As a key member of our medical staff, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse range of animals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert medical care to outpatients and inpatients, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgery.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, taking into account the individual needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff, to ensure seamless care and communication.
- Participate in daily rounds, case discussions, and medical meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest medical knowledge and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of medical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.
- DVM degree (or equivalent) with NY State veterinary license.
- Minimum 3 years small animal medicine experience without internship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills and good judgment.
- Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and make decisions quickly.
