Strategic Account Manager - Wealth Role

The Strategic Account Manager - Wealth is a pivotal role in advancing the relationship with our partners in Wealth as a key strategic relationship. This role requires a unique combination of sales expertise, financial acumen, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue targets within Wealth.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for growth.
  • Align with distribution to achieve revenue targets.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with the Northern Trust Wealth Investment Practice to maximize coverage with product, due diligence, advisory sales leadership, operations, and logistics.
  • Develop a full understanding and articulation of the services NTAM provides to wealth and conduct systematic review of services/products/pricing and SLA's.
  • Exhibit a deep expertise with product and portfolio construction across fixed income, equities, and alternatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment and delivery of solutions that meet Wealth needs.
  • Negotiate fee and pricing agreements to ensure profitability and sustainable growth for Northern Trust.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision making and mitigate risk.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in sales, account management, and business development within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services.
  • 15+ years of financial services experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
  • Prefer advanced degree or designations such as CFA, CAIA, CIMA, CFP, CPA.
