Position Summary

The primary role of this position is to oversee and enhance the overall efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, safety, and quality of designated manufacturing operations within a specific value stream. This includes identifying and executing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing processes and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve targeted results in safety, quality, customer satisfaction, cost management, and employee development.
  • Establish and communicate performance objectives related to safety, quality, customer service, costs, and employee satisfaction with the Value Stream team, ensuring accountability.
  • Design and implement strategies for process enhancements in critical areas, aligning initiatives with Lean Manufacturing principles and the overall manufacturing strategy.
  • Create a workplace environment that promotes high morale, employee satisfaction, and outstanding performance.
  • Ensure coordination of activities and resources within the value stream, fostering collaboration across the organization and involving associates when appropriate.
  • Provide guidance, information, and support to associates and managers to encourage the growth and development of the value stream team.
  • Champion new process innovations and improvements in product development and implementation.
  • Maintain a visible presence among associates and promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Proven experience managing large teams.
  • Ability to assess and respond to workplace conflicts with urgency.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Skilled in motivating both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Effective communication skills, both one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for the business.
  • Supports and encourages change initiatives.
  • Able to coach, develop, and collaborate effectively with associates within the value stream.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Capable of managing conflicts effectively.
  • Understands engineering and quality requirements and can allocate resources to deliver effective solutions.
  • Passionate about safety.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
