Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to our patient care team, ensuring seamless registration and access to medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling
    • Accurately collect and document patient information, including demographic data and medical history.
    • Verify patient insurance coverage and co-payments, ensuring timely and efficient billing processes.
    • Coordinate patient scheduling and registration, ensuring smooth transitions between departments.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring clear understanding of medical services and access procedures.
  • Administrative Support
    • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and reporting, to support efficient operations.
    • Assist with special projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of patient access processes.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • 2-3 years of related work experience preferred, with a focus on customer service, registration, and medical terminology.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in computer software applications, including electronic health records and registration systems.
